It could only happen with Local Government Ombudsmen. An organisation that is under a statutory obligation to publish a review every three years (hence the name triennial) has just published the first one in six years. Should they not have called it a sexennial review? Or perhaps a Seexennial review may be more appropriate because findings of maladministration from the York office are about as rare as their triennial reviews.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009After a series of Freedom of Information requests over a period of a few months Trevor Nunn has now uncovered evidence proving that Nigel Karney, Deputy Chief Executive & Secretary of the Commission for Local Administration in England (CLAE), more commonly known as Local Government Ombudsmen (LGO), provided misleading information to the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) regarding the LGOs true compliance rates for the year 2007/8.
