Statistical evidence against the Local Government Ombudsmen (LGO)
This is not a misprint! Anne Seex, the York LGO, finds and reports maladministration in only one out of every thousand complaints submitted to her.

Note the correlation between the
length of time the Local Government Ombudsmen has been in post and the number of
reports finding maladministration they produce.
Jerry White, Coventry, started 1995, 2.2%.
Tony Redmond, London, started 2001, 0.7% and
Anne Seex, started 2005, 0.1%.

The LGO find and report 100 times less maladministration than the Parliamentary Ombudsman (Substantially less as far as the York LGO is concerned).

The current odds of obtaining a finding of maladministration from one of the three Ombudsmen are, Tony Redmond, London Office 0.7% (odds = 142 to 1). Jerry White, Coventry Office, (odds = 45 to 1). Anne Seex, York Office 0.1% (odds = 1000 to 1).
