Deputy Leader of the House of Commons, 21st Aug 2009
Dear Barbara Keeley
Thank you for your letter 12/8/09 in answer to our letter to Ms Harman re Corrupt Government, as sent to G Brown, Jack Straw, Liam Byrne, Gus O’Donnell and the Parliamentary Ombudsman. This showed how we have been ‘hung out to dry’ by these somewhat ‘vagabond parliamentarians’.
You letter is headed “MPs Allowances” and makes 5 references to this particular corrupt act within the cleverly crafted parliamentary ‘home made’ rules. While the whole nation is alarmed at the scale of deceit and the subsequent attempts at covering up this gross abomination by MPs, it was not quite the No 1 reason of our complaint.
Our letter to the Leader of the House of Commons was largely about corrupt acts against us by civil servants, the Leader did not address this question, pursuing this corruption has become a laborious and painful exercise over some 6 years. We have suffered the arena of parliamentary evasion and spin that subverts the truth, that because of this parliamentary spin, we have lost our ‘entitlement’ to justice. The Leader of the House, like others, evaded our question re unjust civil servants!
In relation to other crooked civil servants, we enclosed to Ms Harman a critical letter re the Ministry of Defence staff who pocketed untold millions whilst continuously purchasing inferior armaments; bringing danger and death to our front-line troops. Fiddling MPs failed to spot this historic ‘cancerous sore’ of MOD procurement. There is the added fact that young fine front-line soldiers are led by ministerial donkeys who have debased the Mother of Parliament with their ‘snout in the trough’ routines.
Many other government depts are falling apart; just like the MOD they are only held together by Whitehall’s conveyor belt of evasion and deceit. This does nothing to improve the running of government administration; described by many as the worst in Europe. Whitehall must realise that the MOD is ‘Unfit for Purpose’
I am a war pensioner worried about injustice to our young soldiers, and greatly annoyed at being corruptly handled by crooked civil servants. We have found during our 6 years of struggle that many public sector statements show a consistency of evasive deceit against government critics and whistleblowers
We are reminded of the tragic outcome of the more illustrious whistleblowers Dr David Kelly and Elisabeth Filkins, felled by parliamentary strong-arm tactics and lies.
Barbara Keeley, you and Ms Harman, like other parliamentarians, have not addressed our concerns re our being corruptly handled by civil servants and the Parliamentary Ombudsman. Our ‘entitlement’ to justice is not being observed. Drawing up bills, appointing Committees and quangos will not eradicate the entrenched squalid behaviour that flows from within the public sector i.e. ‘the old pals act’ etc.
Yours sincerely
AW & I Tanner, an abused war pensioner cc to all interested in government corruption
